SAUDI ARABIA AT GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK IN DUBAI

  Dubai is now the host of several events taking place simultaneously, EXPO 2020 and GITEX 2021. These types of events attract international investors and audiences, as it is a great opportunity to meet people from around the world under one roof. 

 

     But first, what is GITEX? It is the Gulf International Technology Exhibition, the third-largest in the world, launched for the first time in 1981. Meaning we are witnessing this year its 41st edition. This event usually gathers around 150,000 visitors in less than a week. 

 

     GITEX 2021, a 5-day exhibition, kicked off on the 17th of October and will continue until the 21st, at Dubai World Trade Center. The event centers on Information & Communication Technology (ICT  ), Artificial Intelligence (AI  ), cybersecurity, cloud, Big Data and focuses on the latest technologies in the digital world. 

 

     More than 3,500 tech players from 140 countries are part of the tech show, showcasing their most recent technology innovations to visitors coming from different countries. This year, six tech shows are at the forefront of the event: GITEX Global,  GITEX Future Stars, Future Blockchain Summit, AI Everything, Marketing Mania, and Fintech Surge. 

 

     Among the participating countries, Saudi Arabia takes a major part for the 7th time in a row in the GITEX event, through the Ministry of Interior, under the slogan “Technical Solutions for a Safe Homeland''. More than 26 national companies from the ICT sector are promoting their services such as Silah, Lavad, Hawsabah, Benzeny App, Areb, Creative Solutions, Knowledge Developers, Foodics, Solutions By 42, Aictec, Interactive Sa, Slnee, DRC, Ratbli, Qoyod App, Rai Back, Ejad Tech, and others.

 

     It is crucial to shed light on the fact that the ICT market is one of the most growing in Saudi Arabia. The sector contributes up to 5.5% of the GDP for the Kingdom.
